July 30th – Dawg Days of Summer
Saving The Animals Together, an animal rescue group based in Jackson, presents their 1st annual bike run on July 30th. Hosted by Bumpus Harley-Davidson of Jackson, this event is a free, fun-filled family event to benefit the rescue group. Hamburgers and hot dogs as well as drinks and beer will be served. Organic Snow Cones of Jackson, pet photography by Shani Ruffell Photography, and live music by Josh Smith and The Unassigned will also be in available. The event is free, but donations to the rescue group are welcome.
July 30th – Music @ the AMP featuring Skyelor Anderson of the X Factor & Colton Parker
Do you hear it? The AMP is gearing up for it’s 3rd season, and we want you to be a part of it! Eleven FREE performances are planned for this season! Bring a picnic basket or visit a food truck or two. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome at this family friendly event! Free parking is available throughout Downtown. Music will begin at 7:30 pm. In the event of rain, performances will be moved to the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market shed.

731Day is a celebration of Jackson and all those who are proud to be a part of West Tennessee! Every July 31 (7/31) we choose to enjoy the beauty of our city and the people who make it better every day.
Join us Sunday, July 31, 2016, for our first annual celebration of 731Day! Featuring a Performance Running of West Tennessee fun run, Pop-Up Shop, community-painted mural at ComeUnity Café organized by the Jackson Arts Council, concert at The Cumberland House, and Jackson’s biggest water balloon fight at Liberty Park, as well as plenty of local businesses offering special 731Day deals. Plus Our Jackson Home will be launching our fall magazine as well as some new merch.
July 1st – August 19th – Charlotte Highers “It’s in the Details” Exhibit
Having lived in climates from the Alaskan wilderness to the deserts of New Mexico, Charlotte Highers has developed a great love and appreciation for the country in all its diversification. This exhibit features paintings of her experiences, bringing the joy she experienced to the viewer. The exhibit is free and open to the public in The Ned Main Gallery from July 1 – August 19.
July 1st – August 19th – Jane Walls “Funky Faces” Exhibit
The paintings and sketches Jane Walls created were out of the enjoyment for the task, has is her jewelry that will be on display. All of her creations are from a wild imagination loving a fun life to the fullest. The exhibit is free and open to the public in The Ned Main Gallery from July 1 – August 19.
